چکیده
Multi-timescale interaction of power electronics devices, including voltage source converter (VSC), has made the stability and analysis high penetrating renewable systems very complicated. In this paper, impedance model is used to analyze multi-timescale characteristics VSC. Firstly, VSC are investigated based on Bode plots. It found that slow-timescale (within DC-link control scale) fast-timescale AC current models separately consistent with full-order perfectly within their low- high-frequency ranges. addition, there exists a peak intermediate frequency range (roughly from 10 Hz 100 Hz). Then, theoretically estimated explained by slow-fast-scale parallel resonance through transfer-function diagram analysis. Moreover, it more related some outer controllers, such as alternative active control. Specifically, larger proportional coefficients can greatly suppress peak. Finally, simulations experiments conducted verify generality Hence these findings not only significant provide physical insight into inner key structure VSC, but also expected be helpful for controller parameter design

Interaction of Fast-Scale and Slow-Scale bifurcations in Current-Mode Controlled DC/DC converters
This paper investigates the interaction of fast-scale and slow-scale bifurcations in the boost converter under current-mode control operating in continuous conduction mode. Effects of varying some chosen parameters on the qualitative behaviors of the system are studied in detail. Analysis is performed to identify the different types of bifurcation. Boundaries of stable region, slow-scale bifurc...
متن کاملDc Transmission Based on Voltage Source Converters
Voltage Source Converters (VSC) have for the first time been used for HVDC transmission in a real network. Experience from the design and commissioning of the transmission shows that the technology has now reached the stage where it is possible to build high voltage converters utilising Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors (IGBTs). Operation and system tests have proved that the properties that h...
متن کاملFast-Slow Scale Bifurcation in Higher Order Open Loop Current-Mode Controlled DC-DC Converters
Higher order converters, without an external voltage control loop, have been known not to exhibit a fast-slow scale bifurcation interaction, as the slow-scale bifurcation has generally been believed to be caused by parameter changes in the outer loop. In this paper, it is shown that a current-mode controlled Ćuk converter can exhibit an interaction between fast-scale and slow-scale bifurcations...
متن کاملOptimal Droop Control for Voltage Source Converters in Islanded Microgrids
A new procedure for the design of the droop control for voltage source converters (VSC) in islanded microgrid is presented. The droop control is commonly used to achieve the power balance in power system. It consists in a simple proportional control and the selection of its gains are commonly based only on power balance criteria. However, some values of the gains may cause poor damped responses...
متن کاملFast and Slow Voltage Sensor Movements in HERG Potassium Channels
HERG encodes an inwardly-rectifying potassium channel that plays an important role in repolarization of the cardiac action potential. Inward rectification of HERG channels results from rapid and voltage-dependent inactivation gating, combined with very slow activation gating. We asked whether the voltage sensor is implicated in the unusual properties of HERG gating: does the voltage sensor move...
